Jen Dodds made a clutch play to seal an 8-7 mixed doubles victory against Czechia and extend their winning streak.
Dodds and partner Bruce Mouat saw a couple of nervy moments in a dramatic third game of Milano Cortina 2026 but made it count and now sit on three wins from three games.
The young pairing of Julie Zelingrova and Vit Chabicovsky from Czechia almost made it count with a big score in the final end but were unable to get it over the line, as Dodds played a brilliant final stone to deny them.
Despite the tough game, the Beijing 2022 Olympic champion noted that victory tastes just as sweet.
"A clean three and zero out of the first three games at an Olympics, you're always going to take that, it doesn't matter how you do it," she said.
"That last end was a bit tricky but when I saw [Chabicovsky] drawing and it looked heavy and I saw him leave me that wee pocked to draw into I was very happy to see that.
"This is why we play curling, it's so satisfying when you make it."
Czechia had a slow start to the Games but the youngsters came out firing against Team GB who lost out on scoring in the opening end before jumping on a mistake from Zelingrova to clinch three when it mattered.
And with some vintage play from Dodds, they jumped to a 5-2 win after four ends.
After a big steal for Team GB in the seventh, after a costly overshot stone from their opponents, Mouat and Dodds led by three.
But as goes curling, there were never safe, with a difficult penultimate stone for Mouat leaving them on the cusp of a sudden loss, before a clutch final stone from Dodds sealed the deal.
Czechia were unable to deal with the pressure and GB took the match.
"We say you have to win ugly sometimes and that was probably that game," added Dodds.
"In mixed doubles, we've said it before you're never safe, even when you're up three in the last end."
Mouat added: "It's exactly how we wanted to start the event. We just wanted to put a better foot forward but three wins is exactly what we need at this point and then we've got some tough games that we're going to have to perform a little better.
"Jen's playing amazing, it's just I need to help her a little."
The duo will now face Sweden in their fourth match of the competition at 9.05am GMT.
